18-year old Tayla Heath to campaign Lamborghini in AGT

Australian GT will see a new face in pit lane during season 2020 with the announcement that 18-year old karting and production car graduate Tayla Heath will step behind the wheel of the #129 Trofeo Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO to contest rounds of the AGT Trophy Series in the Trofeo Challenge division.

Sandown signals start of 2020 AGT Trophy Series

The second event on the 2020 Australian GT program comes at Melbourne’s legendary Sandown Park Raceway this weekend, with the opening race of the ten-round Australian GT Trophy Series, an event that will see a shift from the traditional Trophy Series rounds, with registered teams competing within the opening round of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships, for half championship points.

Experienced international competitor to take DSO reigns

One of the changes to the structure of the various 2020 Australian GT Championships sees the introduction of an experienced former international competitor as the new Driving Standards Observer [DSO] for the category, with British-born Marcus Mahy taking on the role, beginning with the GT Sportscar Festival event at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit scheduled for 20-22 March.

Australian GT reveal changes for 2020 season

Trofeo Motorsport – the Category Managers of GT Production Sportscars which includes the Australian GT Championship, the Australian Endurance Championship and the Australian GT Trophy Series – have unveiled a numberof changes within the structure of the various entities heading into the season proper.
